Wake up early

Waking up early to get a head start on your day can help you feel more organized and prepared. Plus, if you have an early class, the added time could be helpful to study or complete homework before heading to class.
It’s not easy to wake up early every day, but it’s worth it. Here are some ways that successful college students do it:

  • Set a clear alarm (preferably outside your room)
  • Have a set morning routine with tasks like drinking water, doing a few minutes of exercise or stretching, getting dressed for the day ahead, etc. – Eat breakfast within 30 minutes of waking up so that you’re giving yourself enough time to prepare for classes and such.

Exercise every day

This might seem like an obvious one, but it’s important to remember that your body needs a break. It’s not something you should go without, so make sure you’re exercising every day. Some people find it helpful to set alarms on their phones or put in a note on their daily planners. There are plenty of ways to get your workout in run, swimming, doing yoga, or even taking a walk around campus. Whatever you choose as long as you do some type of activity every day!

Learn everyday

The best way to be successful in college is to establish healthy habits and patterns early on. The more you practice good habits, the easier they will become. It’s never too late to get started! Here are 10 daily habits of the most successful students

Eat healthily

Eat a healthy diet – this includes plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. These foods will provide you with lots of energy to study and do homework. Take care not to eat too many high-calorie and/or high-sugar snacks that are bad for your teeth and may lead to weight gain. Make sure that at least half of your daily meals include a lean protein such as poultry, fish, beans, or lentils. It is also important to get enough sleep each night so that you feel refreshed in the morning and can concentrate on studying throughout the day.

Stay motivated

There are so many distractions in college. It can be hard to focus on your studies if you’re not properly motivated. Here are some ways that successful students motivate themselves First, they make a plan for their day, including what time they will study, do their readings, take breaks and eat lunch. Second, they keep their goals in mind and focus on how much better things will be when they reach them. Third, they don’t compare themselves with others – it’s good to measure progress but comparing yourself is unproductive because no one else has exactly the same needs or abilities as you do!

Save money

The cost of a college education can be quite expensive. The average tuition for public four-year colleges is $9,400 per year and for private four-year colleges is $25,500 per year. To save money on tuition, consider attending a community college or trade school first to earn your Associate’s degree. You may also want to consider working part-time while in school. Finally, you should always try to live at home during your first year at university.

Be social and make friends with new people

It’s important for students to make friends with people in their classes. Networking is a valuable skill to have, and making friends will not only help you in your college career but in life as well. A great way to meet new people is by joining clubs or organizations on campus.
Students should also try going on coffee dates with classmates who they are more acquainted with – it’s always fun meeting someone new!
It’s important that all college students try to get out of their comfort zone when it comes to being social. Meeting new people can be nerve-wracking, but once you start talking about topics that interest both parties, you’ll find it so much easier!

Delegate responsibilities to free up time

-Don’t make studying for a test your only focus. Study, but also go out and do things that interest you. Make sure to take care of yourself by getting enough sleep, exercising, eating well, etc.
-Limit distractions like social media and television as much as possible.
-Get involved with student organizations on campus or in your community that match up with what you’re interested in; it will provide a network of people who share similar interests and experiences.

Have a routine that you follow every day

I get up at 8AM and go to bed at 11PM. I work out for 30 minutes in the morning, do homework from 12-1PM, eat lunch from 1-2PM, work out again from 2-3PM, do homework until dinner time (5-6), eat dinner with my family and then spend my evening reading a book or watching TV. Successfully students have a routine that they stick to every day. The schedule above is just one example of how successful college students might organize their day, but it doesn’t matter what your schedule looks like as long as you are following it and you’re doing everything you need to do each day.

Go to bed early

This one is a no-brainer. You need to get enough sleep if you want to be successful in college. A good night’s rest will increase your productivity, help you stay focused, and maintain higher grades. Not to mention that it is essential for your physical health. Try to set a bedtime alarm so you can keep track of how many hours of sleep you are getting each day. If this seems impossible at first, try setting a get ready for bed alarm 30 minutes before your designated bedtime and then go to bed as soon as possible after this time.
